PBSC Osgoode

Pro Bono Students Canada

Pro Bono Students Canada provides legal services without charge to organizations and individuals in need in Canada. It is the only national law student program in Canada with chapters at 22 of the nation's law schools and was the first pro bono program to have been founded in Canada. PBSC and law student volunteers work together to serve communities from coast to coast, striving to increase access to justice by offering high quality, professional legal assistance in a variety of capacities to those who need it most.

Osgoode Chapter

The PBSC Osgoode Chapter is the largest chapter in Canada, having placed 203 student volunteers on 56 partner organization projects in 2018/2019. Thanks to our amazing Osgoode student volunteers, PBSC Osgoode continues to be recognized for its unparalleled student commitment, quality of volunteers, and project successes.

In 2018/2019, 97% of our volunteers indicated they would recommend PBSC to their peers and friends, while 93%  of our lawyer supervisors and 100% of our community partners surveyed indicated they would work with us again. It was a phenomenal year!

Looking ahead to 2019/2020, the Osgoode Chapter is looking to break new ground on exciting, innovative projects in areas of the law we had yet to engage with until now. As always, our projects allow you the opportunity to develop your legal skills, increase access to justice, and have a positive impact on the legal profession by promoting the value of pro bono services to your generation of future lawyers.

We had some EXCITING program announcements for 2019/2020!
